A Little About Kitchen Kimberley

Hello and welcome!

Hi there, I am Kitchen Kimberley, and I am passionate about food and cooking!  In this blog I share my love for all things kitchen related, and showcase some of my best home-cooked creations with you!

Wondering how I got the name ‘Kitchen Kimberley’?  Well, back in the day (the 1990’s) when I was writing my first cookbook, Timeless Treasures, I was working nonstop cooking and doing dishes!  One day my husband lovingly exclaimed “You are always in the kitchen, Kimberley!”…and there it was, my new business name, ‘Kitchen Kimberley’!!   Its’ catchy, and people remember it…so it’s what people call me now…and I love it!

In order to promote my first cookbook, I did a cooking segment on the Tulsa CBS-afilliate, KOTV-Channel 6 on their Noon News program.  It was so much fun!  I loved sharing recipes and foodie tips with the viewers…and it quickly turned into a regular weekly appearance!  Eventually, I began filming cooking segments in my ‘Oklahoma Kitchen’ at home.  These fun videos featured recipes I created using “Made in Oklahoma” ingredients to promote local Oklahoma food producers and their businesses.

While cooking on TV for almost 12 years, I wrote three more cookbooks, Sweet Treasures, The Joy of Food, and Fabulous Foodie Favorites: Cook, Eat, Smile, Repeat!   The latter is available on Amazon, so be sure to get your copy today by clicking on the book title!

For several years I also wrote a weekly recipe column for a local grocery store, and was a spokesperson for the Made in Oklahoma Coalition.  I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the nicest people in Oklahoma!   It was also fun sharing MIO recipes on the cooking segments for the Discover Oklahoma show.  Have I mentioned my love for all things food?!  Oh, and I am not the least bit camera shy, either, lol!

Another great opportunity arose in 2011, when I was hired as the spokesperson for Southwest Dairy Farmers!  During the next five years, I traveled across the southwest teaching people about dairy ingredients and sharing delicious recipes.  Together we also filmed numerous cooking videos, and wrote a cookbook called “Dairylicious! Cooking with Dairy”,  which is also available on Amazon.

My husband and I then moved to Dallas in 2012, where my passion for food has grown exponentially!   Everything’s bigger in Texas, y’all, including my appetite for scrumptious food!

Currently I stay busy cooking for family and friends, working on my blog and social media, and developing scrumptious new recipes to share with you!  In my Texas kitchen I am currently filming new videos for my YouTube channel, too!

There’s a lot more on the menu for Kitchen Kimberley, so please stay tuned!

Remember!  Live life to the fullest…cook, eat, smile, repeat!
